Dries Van Noten 2009-2010

Dries Van Noten  (DVN) is a private Dutch fashion brand that makes absolutely the most comfortable shoes! I’m completely sold on their boots! They are hard to find items though. Not many boutiques carry this brand because it is less well known and the company does not do any advertising in the market, which I LOVE! Lanvin, Chanel, and Hermès used to have this policy too in order to maintain the brand’s sense of exclusivity, but now they advertise a lot and it’s really off-putting for me that in order to achieve their quota, they will let go of their own values.

DVN FW10 Runway Silk Print Clutch with Croc Trim in Turquoise

– Purchased in 2010
– All metal and bead embroidery hand-sewn
– Comes with detachable metal shoulder-chain strap
– Absolutely STUNNING! The clutch is DIVINE! As soon as I saw it on the runway, I knew it was like *THE* bag of the season for me. The dresses from the FW10 collection were fantastic as well. Other colors were available in pink silk, brown silk, or mustard croc and black croc.

First two pictures from Style.com

Not a great pic, but shows the size of the clutch on me at an event this year.

– I don’t wear these booties as often, but they’re extremely comfy just like its big sister in the same collection.

DVN SS09 Embroidered Sandals in Calf Leather

– Purchased in 2010
– Found them on sale one day at Mona Moore. Beautiful embroidery! I love how it’s so feminine, and yet with a bit of contemporary twist with the beige toe-strap.
