OMG, soooo much has happened in the past few days! I’m exhausted! I’ve been flying around doing some apartment shopping and settled on a BEAUTIFUL luxury condo for rent. I signed the contract immediately after viewing it since it’s hard to come by something that fulfills all my requirements and in fact the listing just came on last week according to my real-estate agent. I’m so happy and excited to move in soon!
I was actually really depressed in the morning after having seen several apartments that were just disgusting, old, smelly…etc. OMG, I was so relieved to have my agent finally show me more appropriate listings. Apparently, most buildings were constructed in the 70s, that’s why so few are up-to-par. My place is a huge two-story apartment about 1200 square feet, located in the heart of downtown, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the the 2nd floor, and the kitchen, dining/living room, and balcony are on the first floor – everything in new hardwood floor. It’s pet-friendly, in a high-rise building overlooking the city and water (16th and 17th floor), with 24 hr staff/security on call, has a dishwasher, stove, fridge, air-conditionning, all facilities included (heat, water, electricity), and extra amenities in the building (swimming pool, gym, sauna, pool/billiard/game room, party room, laundry, and pharmacy downstairs)!!! EVERYTHING’s exactly what I asked for if not more! 😀 I can’t wait to move in and turn the spare bedroom into a walk-in closet to store all my bags and shoes! I’ve been waiting to do this ever since I got inspired by some fabulous tPF members who turned their boring rooms into truly magnificent display rooms.
I had a fantastic trip, it was quick and I got everything on my agenda accomplished. Here are some pix of the river taken from the Hilton hotel where I was staying, beautiful eh? Sorry, can’t say where this is since it’s the internet… I’ll just say that on the other side of the river is USA, my new destination for shopping and partying q weekend haha I’m definitely going on cruise control now, never will I work that hard again! Med school aged me by 20 years, so my personal goal for residency is to relive life like my high school days! 😀
