My closet was mess until one day in my teenage years when I visited my cousin in 2004. She had just recently acquired one of the original 2003 LE Multicolore bags by Murakami for LV – I later found out that it was called Sologne. It was so beautiful, and frankly, I was quite envious! Many years later, my cousin grew out of this bag and gave her to me. Here she is today with a beautiful light honey patina.
Nonetheless, before I acquired Sologne, I was determined to purchase my first LV bag:
LV Monogram Trotteur
This was my first Louis Vuitton purchase and I carried it with me everywhere. I still love this bag for its practicality and will probably never sell it 🙂
I saved so hard for a year to get it and thought that I would be forever happy… but as soon as I had my first taste of designer goodies, I got hooked pretty badly… It was the start of a dangerous slippery road and the rest is history…
Today my “closet” has expanded to something like below with two walls of stuff to store all my designer junk! I love having my rotating 360 degree mirrors in between for trying outfits, and the leather ottoman in the centre allows me to sit and put on my shoes. I store my bags on these mini shelves and I have 2 cabinets on both sides of the walls just for shoes! Then there are the 3 other closets (not shown) just for my clothes too… I am still planning on installing a lighting system which has been delayed for a year now.
I will eventually need to convert a whole bedroom or large room to store everything, but for now I’m very happy with my collection. Thanks for letting me share my story! 🙂
